The Liverpool man is believed to be high up on the Serie A side’s wanted list

Juventus are plotting a swoop for midfielder Emre Can.

According to reports today, the Liverpool man is one of the Italian side’s most wanted players heading into the last month of the summer transfer window and they could launch an official bid soon.

Juventus offered £22.5m for Can

Juventus are willing to part with around £22.5m for the midfielder and were hopeful that the fee would be enough to convince Liverpool to let the German leave Anfield and make the move to Italy.

The Reds though have slapped a £27m price-tag on his head, meaning that the Italian giants will have to up their offer by a few million if they want to have any chance of signing the player.

Jurgen Klopp isn’t too keen to let the 23-year old leave but every player has their price and if the value that has been placed on Can is met, then Klopp may have to start going on the lookout for a suitable replacement.

That replacement could very well come as part of a separate deal, with reports claiming that if Phillipe Coutinho does indeed make the move to Barcelona, then they could give Liverpool Andre Gomes.

Gomes plays in the centre of midfield, meaning that he could step in and replace Can if Juventus meet his asking price and sign him.
