German winger Marko Marin is on the verge of ending a miserable 3-year spell at Chelsea.
The 26-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2012 from Werder Bremen for £6million, being dubbed the ‘German Lionel Messi’. However, a long list of injuries combined with fierce competition has lead to him being left out in the cold and unable to reach his potential.
Marin is now ready to try his luck elsewhere and will undergo a medical today ahead of a permanent move to Trabzonspor.
Marin has been sent out on loan to Sevilla, Fiorentina and Anderlecht in recent years, but has found the net just seven times in three years.
