Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is fearing the worst as Juventus and Bayern Munich close in on Alexis Sanchez.
The club have been in talks with the Chile international about a new £160,000-a-week contract for a while, but he is yet to put pen-to-paper.
And Arsenal’s loss is Juventus’ gain, as the Serie A champions’ general manager Giuseppe Marotta has publicly praised Sanchez.
“It’s nice to read that so many players would like Juventus. As for Sanchez, he’s definitely a good player,” said Marotta.
However, if the Old Lady are to capture the signature of the 27-year old, they will have to fight off competition from the Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
