Arsenal are reportedly preparing a new two-year contract for forward Alexis Sanchez.

The Mirror claim Arsenal’s top brass are ready to sign off a contract worth around £200,000-a-week.

It is a significant increase on the Chile star’s current £140,000 per week deal, which expires in 2018.

Reports believe Sanchez, who arrived in North London from Barcelona in 2014, is looking for a buy-out clause in his new contract, along with the increase in wages.

Talks are underway with the attacking ace’s representatives, with the club eager to get a deal sorted by Christmas.

Sanchez has netted 44 times in 97 appearances for Arsenal.

He changed his squad number over the summer, from 17 to seven, after the departure of Tomas Rosicky, but this has not stopped his decent start to the season.

Sanchez netted their first goal of the season in the Gunners’ 3-1 win at Watford, and followed it up with a strike against PSG in the Champions League this week.
