Valencia centre-back Shkodran Mustafi is on the verge on joining Arsenal.
The Germany international has reportedly agreed a five-year deal with the Gunners, which will see him earn £75,000-a-week.
The 24-year old has a £42 million release clause in his contract, but Valencia are willing to accept around £30 million.
Once a fee is agreed between the two clubs, Mustafi can then undergo his medical at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is desperate for a centre-half, after Per Mertesacker and Gabriel both suffered long-term injuries in pre-season.
Mustafi could be the perfect replacement, having played for another English club in Everton.
