Lazio striker Ricardo Kishna has revealed the reasons behind his move to Rome.

Kishna, 20, was linked with a switch to Arsenal this summer, before joining Lazio from Ajax for £14.7m.

Lazio’s city rivals Roma were also keen, as were Serie A rivals Juventus.

But Dutchman Kishna states that the reason why he joined the Biancocelesti was that he was impressed with the infrastructure at the club.

Kishna told ELF: “I was immediately impressed by Lazio when I met the coach and officials from the club,”

“I believed that it would be a very important opportunity for me because I was looking for a club that also met my needs.

“They wanted me a lot because I can play in any position in the attack and I was happy to arrive.

“To sign for Lazio, I refused teams like Arsenal, Roma and Juventus but after I spoke with this club, I turned down the offers from all of the other three clubs.”

Kishna scored for his new club in a 2-1 win over Bologna in August, after having netted four for the Amsterdam side last season.
