10. David Busst

David Busst was brutally tackled from two Manchester United players, that being of Brian McClair and Denis Irwin, This horrific tackle caused extensive compound fractures to the players tibia and fibula of his right leg. Busst underwent 26 painful operations , However, due to infection to his injured leg, David unfortunately never returned to football again

9. Alf-Inge Haaland

Bitter rivals Roy Keane and Alf-Inge Haaland  were always were out to get each other, their rivalry was one of the biggest ever to been seen in Football ever before, Unfortunately, as much as we all love a bit of sports rivalry, this bitterness was taken way too far when Roy Keane Ended Haaland’s with a horrific tackle. After this Alf-Inge Haaland never was able to play a full 90mins again, eventually he retired due to the very bad injury.

Roy Keane was banned for a total of eight matches and fined £150,00 for this tackle on Haaland, Some might say he got of very lightly.

8. Alan Smith

During an important match for Manchester United in 2006 against Liverpool in a FA Cup match, Alan Smith severely dislocated his left ankle all while trying to block a whopper of a free-kick from Liverpool Legend John Arne Riise. Even Sir Alex Ferguson described the injury as “one of the worst” he has ever seen in his entire time in Football.

7. Eduardo da Silva

Silva suffered a very horrific leg break while playing for Arsenal in 2008 in a game against Birmingham City, following a tackle by defender Martin Taylor. The challenge caught Eduardo on his left leg as his foot was planted in the ground, Breaking his fibula open and dislocating the ankle.

6. Aaron Ramsey

Aaron Ramsey suffered an awful double fracture in his right leg during a match against Stoke City back in 2010. When big Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross challenged Ramsey to the ball, which broke the Arsenal stars tibia and fibula.

5. Djibril Cisse

Djibril Cisse is an unfortunate player ,having broke bothhis legs during his career so far. The first injury occured during his Liverpool days in a match against Blackburn Rovers in October 2004, while on international duty for France during a friendly against China. Maybe a nice desk job might be better?

4. Luc Nilis

Nilis unfortunately had to end his career early after suffering a horrendous broken leg in a game for Aston Villa against Ipswich in 2000. This was especially shocking as no one expected this to happen, I think we can all sympathize with this lad.

3. Bobby Zamora

A very controversial and serious situation for Zamora as Wolves captain Karl Henry put in a brutal challenge on the striker that broke his ankle. Many media outlets were debating whether or not this was intentional, However, the tackle may have been planned, but I don’t think injuring another player like this is in anyone’s plan at all.

while playing for Swansea City against Sunderland Neil Taylor suffered a broken ankle recently following a collision with Gardner, he immediately needed an oxygen mask as he was stretchered off the field

1. Marcin Wasilewski

Wasilewski suffered a horrific double break in the right leg during Jupiler’s League match against Standard Liege in 2009. Alex Witsel stomped on Wasilewski ankle in the 25th minute and received a red card, Wasilewski was out for nine months as a result of the injury.
