Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta has played down rumours that Massimiliano Allegri is to leave the club for Chelsea in the summer.

Allegri led the Turin giants to the top of Serie A over the weekend with a win over Napoli.

This is on the back of a league and cup double and Champions League final appearance.

Chelsea have been on the lookout for a replacement manager for Guus Hiddink, who could leave at the end of the season.

But Marotta is not of the opinion that Allegri will be heading to West London anytime soon.

“I’m convinced that we’ll go forward with Allegri for many years,” Marotta told Italian TV station Gr Parlamento.

“When things go well a coach’s value goes up.

“Juve is a point of arrival for a coach, one of the world’s biggest clubs.

“It’s not easy to find a bigger team than Juventus, unless you consider it the end of a cycle.

“And the winning cycle can continue.”
