Villarreal centre-back Eric Bailly has joined Premier League side Manchester United on a four-year contract, subject to a work permit.
The Ivory Coast international becomes Jose Mourinho’s first United signing, after the Old Trafford club paid around £31 million to lure him from La Liga.
Bailly, who has impressed at Villarreal since his £4.4 million switch from Espanyol in 2015, also has the option to extend his deal at the Red Devils by a further two years.
