After capturing centre-back Eric Bailly as his first Manchester United transfer, Jose Mourinho is planning to bring in Switzerland international centre forward Breel Embolo for his second signing.
The 19-year old is currently part of Switzerland’s Euro 2016 squad and is reportedly in line to replace Haris Seferovic up top for their final Group A game against hosts France.
Embolo plays his club football for Basel and has attracted plenty of interest around European football.
Newly promoted Bundesliga team Red Bull Leipzig were considered to be the front-runners for his signature after tabling a bid in the region of £15 million.
However, it is believed that the Red Devils will hijack this deal by offering Basel £25 million for Embolo’s services.
