Pardew is hoping to capture both Loic Remy and Yohan Cabaye this summer.

Now Crystal Palace manager, Pardew worked with both the targets at Newcastle, and is now hoping for a reunion at Palace.

Cabaye – who had also been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal – is thought to be keen on a return to the Premier League.

He is reported to be available for around £10m after his move over to PSG has not worked out as he planned.

Alan Pardew has transfer market ambitions

“We want to compete with teams like Newcastle, Aston Villa, Everton and maybe even Spurs in the transfer market this summer.”

“Whilst we cannot compete with some of those clubs in therms of budgets, we can look to attract the kind of players they are also in the market for.”

“If we could add that kind of quality to this current group, then we have a chance to push on.”
