Newcastle United coach Rafael Benitez has claimed that everything is going wrong at St. James Park. Newcastle United were thrashed by Braga 4-0 yesterday.

Following the defeat, Benitez said, “When things are not going well off the pitch you can see a reflection on the pitch.”

When asked if he was referring to a club doing well in the summer transfer window, he replied, Everything – I’m really worried.”

The former Liverpool manager is concerned about his club’s depth and is keen to sign a new center forward in addition to a No. 10, a center half and a left back.

Regarding his club’s business in the summer transfer window, the Spaniard said, “I have no idea. The fans have to be concerned, we are concerned. I’m really worried. I think we still need three or four players.”

Newcastle United have won only one pre-season game as of now. So far, the Magpies have signed only three players this summer. They are goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-yeung and Swiss center back Fabian Schar.

Newcastle make their Premier League debut against Tottenham Hotspur at St. James Park on 11th August. Before that, they still have one pre-season friendly to play against FC Augsburg.
