Daniel Levy has to think hard about the direction he wants Tottenham Hotspur to go.

The North London club are on their way of missing out on a Champions League spot for a second year and the club needs to find a replacement for Jose Mourinho in the summer.

Ryan Mason emphasises that he needs to get the team back on track after their recent defeat against Leeds United but claims that major decisions will transpire in the coming months.

“I think the bigger picture and discussions like that probably need to happen over the summer,” said the 29-year-old manager.

“Our focus, my focus has to be on the next game now and at training we need to prepare.

“I’m very disappointed we lost a game of football today as I came into this game wanting to win and hoping that we could win the game. That hasn’t happened so that’s disappointing.

“Our focus has to be on the next week, the next game and then I’m sure those conversations will happen over the summer.”

“Absolutely, absolutely there’s some great players,” he added. “It’s a big squad, it’s a very good squad as well, so there’s definite tools to work with for next season and I’m sure the chairman, the board and the football club will have a long hard think about the direction the football club wants to go in.”
