Real Madrid have apprently joined Manchester United and Arsenal in the race for William Carvalho.
The Spanish giants have apparently been scouting the Sporting Lisbon star for a while. The Portuguese has also been linked with moves to Old Trafford and The Emirates, and is valued by Lisbon at £32million, however neither Premier League club have made a bid.
However, it is thought Madrid are unhappy with the valuation made, meaning if they successfully fail to negotiate a deal, it could affect Liverpool’s proposed £16million move for Asier Illaramendi. New Madrid boss Rafa Benitez will not be letting him go until he has a replacement.
Carvalho was recently named player of the tournament at the Under 21 European Championships as he helped guide his national side to the final – losing to Sweden on penalties.
Born in Angola, Carvalho was eligible to play for the the African country but instead chose to represent Portugal – the country he moved to at an early age – and to date has 13 caps to his name.
