Jamie Redknapp has tipped Petr Cech to sign for Manchester United this summer from Premier League champions Chelsea.
Cech has been strongly linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, with a host of clubs reportedly interested.
Liverpool are strongly fancied as a possible destination for the Czech keeper, however former Reds midfielder Redknapp believes their arch rivals Manchester United may well end with the services of Cech.
Redknapp, now a pundit for Sky Sports, said: ‘United could get someone like Petr Cech in for a couple of seasons and have Bale in their team – what an addition that would be.’
The Red Devils could lose David De Gea this summer to Real Madrid, so could well be in the market for a new goalkeeper.
It seems unlikely that Mourinho would sell to a title rival however. Cech lost his place between the sticks this season to Thibault Courtois.
If he does move, Cech is likely to cost around £10m.
