Oliver published the the full report with photos the next day, unfortunately the journalist Ted Oliver died in 2007 just twelve years after the incident.

Francisco Gallardo also did bit in a football game between his club Sevilla and Real Vallodolid in 2001 biting his team mate Antonio Reyes in a goal celebration, he did snub his giblets. The Spanish Football Federation fined and suspended Gallardo for violating the sporting dignity.

Gianmario Comi AKA the Vampire of Serie B did bite De Luca his opponent after a fight between the pair in a defensive wall formation. Unfortunately the victim De Luca was red carded after his part in the incident leaving Comi on the field not punished. Later Comi went on to score the equaliser in his club Avellino win against De Luca’s Bari who later posted the photo of their player biceps bite wound on their official website.

The Uruguay striker also bit a third opponent in the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in his nation game with Italy. This time he bit Giorgio Chellini the Azzuri centre-back and he was banned for several games both at club level and 9 international games for Uruguay
