10. Emmanuel Riviere – Newcastle United

Riviere was a huge summer signing flop for Newcastle United any professional analyst or Football pundit can tell you how terrible his 2014-15 campaign was. Emmanuel Riviere was brought over from the French League with other french players like Cabella. However, unlike his colleague the striker has failed to perform and fit into the Premier League which seems to be a too fast and physical game for him.

We can only wait until next season to see if anything comes about with this lad.

9. Roberto Soldado – Tottenham Hotspurs

Spanish striker Roberto Soldado just like his countryman Fernando Torres had  lost his ‘touch‘. The Spaniard has struggled find the back of the net on many occasions, which has been his problem ever since joining Tottenham. During his time at Tottenham Hotspurs he has been getting the run ins and his passing ability has been fine, but when it comes to finishing he fails to seize the opportunities, Soldado seems to lack composure and confidence up front.

8. Luke Shaw – Manchester United

One of the Top 10 Most Expensive Teenagers in Football History and the op 10 Most Expensive Defenders in Football History. Luke Shaw joined The Red Devils from Southampton for a massive £30 million fee, and just turning 19 in the summer of the Transfer window. The English man was believed to be one of the best left backs in the world, however, he is yet to prove that his worth the £30 million Manchester United forked out for him, as he has not shown his full abilities at Old Trafford.

 

7. Erik Lamela – Tottenham Hotspurs

Tottenham Hotspur man Erik Lamela  had a bad record of keeping form during his time with the spurs. Lamela has had his ups and downs at White Hart Lane is starting to show some potential, but has really found it hard to keep a first place spot in the squad especially with the likes of Nacer ChadliChristian Eriksen and Harry Kane out-shining him. Many pundits think that he would be much better off furthering his career at some other club.

6. Fernando – Manchester City

In sixth place is Manchester City’s, Fernando . he was one of the players last season who without a doubt needs to be on this list. Fernando during his playing time at Porto was a world class Central Defending Mid-Fielder, However, as soon as he arrived in Manchester and was given a first team place the boss Manuel Pellegrin, he turned into a massive liability in the team, he gave away possession easily in Comparison to the time he had the ball for his team.

5. Mario Balotelli – Liverpool

The Reds desperate to find a decent supporting striker for Daniel Sturridge, especially after the departure of  clinical finisher Luis Suarez, Liverpool, made the option to sign Italian superstar Mario Balotelli as a Suarez replacement, however, Luis Suarez had huge shoes for the Italian to fit. The striker cost Liverpool a £16m fee to force a move over from AC Milan . But he Italian has only hit the back of the net four times since his move from Italy.

4. Ross Barkley – Everton

Ross Barkley has been one of the most promising young talent in world football, however he did not prove that during the 2014/15 season. Barkley can be a creative and exciting young player to watch, he has a way of exciting everyone with his unique football skills, as he has shown when he player for Everton and the England national team. being only 21 years of age and played only two seasons in his senior career, we can only hope he doesn’t go down hill from here.

3. Oscar – Chelsea

Its sad seeing Oscar on this list of the 10 Most Disappointing Premier League Players of The 2014-15 Season as we all know how good of a player thi lad is. After a decent start to the season, Oscar Dos Santos fell out of favor off Jose Mourinho team, a player Jose Mourinho praised and said he was his number 2, a player he preferred over Spanish Juan Mata and led to the sell of the Spanish international.

Oscar spent most of his season coming on as a substitute for the Blues, a player whom we all know as a regular starter in Jose Mourinho‘s Chelsea.

2. Radamel Falcao – Manchester United

Arguably one of the best srikers in recent years. Radamel Falcao has been one of the best strikers in recent scoring alot of goals both on club level and international football. The Colombian international had one of the worst seasons on loan at Manchester United in the Premier League only managing to find the back of the net 4 times in over 35 appearances for the Red Devils. Radamel is sometimes called ”El Tigre” or the ”King of the Europa League.

The Colombian joined Athletico Madrid in 2011 for a fee of €40 million from FC Porto making him one of the most expensive players in the world, He scored over 50 goals for the Spanish club before leaving the club to join AS Monaco for a massive €60 million in 2013.

1. Angel Di Maria – Manchester United

Finally we have reached on the number one player on the 10 Most Disappointing Premier League Players of The 2014-15 Season and its Angel Di Maria, The Argentine was one of the best players at Real Madrid before he fell out of favor. Manchester United splashed out £57.9 million for the Argentine internationals services at Old Traford, when he joined Manchester United it was a dream come true for Manchester United fans who thought he would help bring Manchester United back to form.

Well Angel Di Maria has not done as much as Manchester United and co expected from him, his hefty price tag shows that you should have found the back of the net often and provided a number of assists for the Reds of Manchester.
