Bayer Leverkusen have today signed Liverpool target Kevin Volland from Hoffenheim on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year old, who is a versatile forward, was left out of Germany’s provisional Euro 2016 squad and believes his move to the BayArena can help him become a regular international star in the future.

When speaking the official club website, Leverkusen’s general manager Michael Schade said: “Our interest in Kevin Volland has been there for a long time and now we’ve finally got him.”

“He can play practically in any position across the front line.”

Volland scored eight goals in 34 appearances in all competitions for Hoffenheim this season.
