The agent of Juventus star Paul Pogba, chased by Manchester United, has insisted that there is no rush for the Red Devils to complete his signature.

United are reportedly preparing a deal worth an eye-watering £100m, which would be a new world record for a player transfer.

All parties are keen for a deal to be concluded in a swift fashion, however Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has not set a particular date.

United do have a backup option if any deal for Pogba falls through, in the shape of another Frenchman, Blaise Matuidi.

Pogba, 23, is remaining tight-lipped about his future. He was interviewed at the ESPY awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

His response was: “I don’t know, let’s see. For the moment I’m at Juve and I’m happy. I don’t know where I want to go.”

United manager Jose Mourinho has already completed the signings of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and widely hinted at a fourth signing before the season starts next month.

Mourinho stated: “We made a nucleus of four priorities, four positions, priorities.

“To give a certain balance to the squad, to give a certain push in terms of quality, and the qualities that I need, that I want, as we know especially the ones with more vision.”
