Chelsea make move for Song

The Blues are leading the race for the midfielder

Chelsea have made a move for Alex Song and a deal is very close according to reports.

The Barcelona midfielder spent last season on loan at West Ham and he clearly impressed Jose Mourinho, who is now preparing a move. The 27-year old has also been linked with a permanent move to the Hammers and Liverpool are also believed to be weighing up a move.

£6m bid to be made

However, it is the Special One who is currently in pole position to sign the Cameroon international and a £6m bid is set to be lodged to try and lure the midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Mourinho has made it clear he is on the lookout for a new midfielder and Song could very well be the player he is looking for.
