Mauricio Pochettino hopeful of Neymar’s availability in time for Real Madrid clash.

The Brazilian winger sprained his ankle back in November against Saint-Etienne and has been out of action for the past 13 weeks.

The French giants will be facing Real Madrid in their round-of-16 Champions League clash on Tuesday night.

The winger registered three goals and three assists in 14 games across all competitions and is expected to be available for the Tuesday night clash at Parc des Princes.

Pochettino is optimistic about the Brazilian’s availability for the first-leg clash against Real Madrid.

“Neymar’s development is very good. I hope he will be in the group, he’s an important player for us. We will see in the next few days if he can be available for Real Madrid,” Pochettino told the press after Friday’s win.

“All the great players want to be there on the big occasions. Neymar has the experience and the maturity to be able to focus in this type of situation in order to give his best.”
