They have officially won 11 titles, but this week’s Top 10 looks at Real Madrid’s first 10 Champions League triumphs – the famous La Decima

10. 1956 – Parc des Princes, Paris, France

A brace from Hector Rial sandwiched in between goals from Alfredo Di Stefano and Marquitos saw Real Madrid defeat Stade Reims 4-3 in the 1956 European Cup final.

9. 1957 – Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid, Spain

A penalty from Alfredo Di Stefano and a strike from Francisco Gento meant that Real Madrid defended their European Cup title in front of their home fans against Fiorentina.

8. 1958 – Heysel Stadium, Brussels, Belgium

Di Stefano, Rial and Gento were all on the scoresheet again as Real Madrid defeated AC Milan 3-2 after extra time.

7. 1959 – Neckarstadion, Stuttgart, Germany

Goals from Enrique Mateos and Di Stefano led Real Madrid to a 2-0 victory over Stade Reims.

6. 1960 – Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland

A hat-trick from Di Stefano and an astonishing four goals from Ferenc Puskas saw Real Madrid destroy Eintracht Frankfurt 7-3. This made it five European Cups in a row for Real Madrid.

5. 1966 – Heysel Stadium, Brussels, Belgium

Goals from Amancio Amaro and Fernando Serena saw Real Madrid beat Partizan Belgrade 2-1 in the ’66 final.

4. 1998 – Amsterdam Arena, Amsterdam, Netherlands

A solitary goal from Predrag Mijatovic led Real Madrid to their seventh Champions League crown after victory over Juventus.

3. 2000 – Stade de France, Paris, France

Fernando Morientes, Steve McManaman and Raul all scored as Real Madrid defeated fellow La Liga side Valencia 3-0 in the final.

2. 2002 – Hampden Park, Glasgow, Scotland

A goal from Raul and an exquisite volley from Zinedine Zidane led Real Madrid to a 2-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen.

1. 2014 – Estadio da Luz, Lisbon, Portugal

Goals from Sergio Ramos, Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo saw Real Madrid dramatically beat their city rivals Atleti 4-1 in the final to secure La Decima.
