Everton have held initial discussions over a potential deal for Chelsea striker Demba Ba.
Manager Roberto Martinez tried to sign Ba last season before he was offered a loan deal for Romelu Lukaku.
However, they are still some distance apart from his personal terms with Ba on around £80,000 a week at Stamford Bridge
Everton have asked to take the Belgium international again but are also waiting to see what happens on the proposed deal for him involving Atletico Madrid.
