FIVE-STAR CHELSEA EASE PAST THE MK DONS
A first-half hat-trick from Oscar helped Chelsea set up a fifth-round tie at home to Manchester City, following a thumping a 5-1 victory away at Championship side, Milton Keynes Dons on Sunday.
Oscar opened the scoring in Buckinghamshire after 15 minutes, having been played in by Diego Costa, only for Darren Potter to level for Karl Robinson’s men, just six minutes later, with a deflected effort.
Oscar swept in a further two-goals to complete his treble for the West Londoners, before Eden Hazard’s penalty, and Bertrand Traore’s composed finish in the second period confirmed the Blues’ place in the hat for the next round.
ARSENAL EDGE PAST DEFIANT BURNLEY
Arsenal, like their capital rivals, Chelsea, also beat second-tier opposition, however the Gunners had to work for their victory at the Emirates, eventually seeing off promotion-chasing Burnley with a 2-1 win.
