  2. Arsenal

The FA Cup fourth-round weekend has come to its conclusion on Sunday evening, with 15 ties played throughout the two days – SillySeason will provide a round-up of the best action.

FIVE-STAR CHELSEA EASE PAST THE MK DONS

A first-half hat-trick from Oscar helped Chelsea set up a fifth-round tie at home to Manchester City, following a thumping a 5-1 victory away at Championship side, Milton Keynes Dons on Sunday.

Oscar opened the scoring in Buckinghamshire  after 15 minutes, having been played in by Diego Costa, only for Darren Potter to level for Karl Robinson’s men, just six minutes later, with a deflected effort.

Oscar swept in a further two-goals to complete his treble for the West Londoners, before Eden Hazard’s penalty, and Bertrand Traore’s composed finish in the second period confirmed the Blues’ place in the hat for the next round.

ARSENAL EDGE PAST DEFIANT BURNLEY

Arsenal, like their capital rivals, Chelsea, also beat second-tier opposition, however the Gunners had to work for their victory at the Emirates, eventually seeing off promotion-chasing Burnley  with a 2-1 win.

Callum Chambers delightfully curled beyond Tom Heaton with the outside of his foot to open up proceedings after 18 minutes on the clock in North London.

The Clarets equalised on the half-hour mark through Sam Vokes, who glanced in Tendayi Darikwa’s cross.

But normal service was resumed seven minutes after the interval – Alexis Sanchez, who was starting in an Arsenal jersey for the first time since November, finished with aplomb to carry Arsene Wenger’s men through.

BERAHINO BRACE NOT ENOUGH TO GET PAST PETERBOROUGH

League One side, Peterborough United, held West Bromwich Albion to a 2-2 draw at the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon, earning a replay to be played at London Road.

Want-away Albion forward, Saido Berahino drilled the ball beyond Ben Alnwick from long-range to put Tony Pulis’ side into the lead.

It stayed that way until ten minutes to play when Shaquile Coulthirst half-volleyed into the roof of the net from a tight-angle, beating Boaz Myhill in goal.

Berahino restored the Baggies advantage after 84 minutes – but that was not the end of the scoring, as Jack Taylor sparked delirium in-front of the travelling Posh support as he arrowed a right-footed half-volley into the far corner.
