Felipe Melo has alerted Chelsea and Liverpool after hinting that he’s ready to quit Galatasaray in order to join a Premier League side.

The Brazilian midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to England in the past, with Arsenal close to signing him a few years back before he eventually went out to Turkey, and he has now stated that he’s ready to move to the Premier League.

After snubbing a chance to join Arsenal, Melo joined Juventus in a deal worth £18.5million and then eventually moved to Galatasaray.

The 31-year-old is ready to move to England now with Chelsea and Liverpool both mentioned.

He told Sambafoot: “I am a warrior, the English like that.

“I have been approached by English clubs when I played at Juve. I do not close the door.

“If an offer arrives and it is good for me and Galatasaray, why not?

“Arsenal wanted me to come in 2009 when I was at Fiorentina.

“Juve paid nearly 25 million euros (£18.5m) to pay my release clause and I signed there.

“I love Chelsea because I’m a big fan of Jose Mourinho. I appreciate Liverpool because they have great fans.”
