The summer of 2019 has already witnessed a handful of high-profile transfers. However, with yet another month to go before the transfer window slams shut, a couple of big-money signings can still be expected. And, Christian Eriksen is sure to be one of them.

The 27-year-old playmaker has expressed his desire to find new pastures after serving Tottenham for six years. The Dane helped the Lillywhites finish runners up in the Champions League last season.

While Europe’s biggest clubs are at loggerheads with each other, let’s have a look at the five best destinations for the playmaker.

#5 Juventus

Juventus are filthy rich when it comes to showcasing their strength in the midfield. The Italian giants have already signed two central midfielders in Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey, but it seems Maurizio Sarri is yet to be satisfied with his options in the middle of the park.

According to reports, the Italian gaffer wants a big-name signing and has specifically requested the hierarchy to sign Christian Eriksen.

The Danish playmaker will definitely find it a challenge in cementing his place in Sarri’s lineup, given the kind of fierce competition at the club. However, there’s also no doubt Eriksen will perfectly fit in the Sarri-ball system given his attacking strengths.

It remains to be seen if Juve are interested in signing yet another midfielder this summer. If they are, the Allianz Stadium will be the best place for Eriksen as he would be guaranteed major silverware.#4 Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid are being linked with a move for Christian Eriksen and rightly so. The Rojiblancos have lost two talented players in Antoine Griezmann and Rodri to Barcelona and Manchester City respectively.

They have made a statement signing in Joao Felix this summer. But Diego Simeone is keen on getting a creative playmaker who can dish out key passes for his attackers to score goals.

Atletico Madrid also serves to be a good destination for the Denmark international. Simeone is known as a hard-working coach and one who is well-known for getting the best out of his players. Under his tutelage, the 27-year-old will definitely reach new heights in his career.

According to recent reports, both the clubs have already opened talks on a €70m deal for the player.#3 Manchester United

Manchester United are in dire need of attacking reinforcements this summer. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on revamping his squad and the Norwegian has already enquired about a move for Christian Eriksen.

With Paul Pogba set to leave this summer, the Red Devils are searching for an able replacement. The Denmark international would be the best man to replace him at Old Trafford, given that he has ample of Premier League experience.

Eriksen will no doubt pocket a handsome salary and would also become the face of the club. Increased popularity awaits for him if he puts pen to paper on a Man United contract, knowing that the English giants are one of the top 3 footballing brands in the world.

However, winning silverware will be a liability for the 27-year-old. Only time will tell if Manchester United can win trophies with him in the lineup and Solskjaer in the lead. #2 Barcelona

Barcelona have been long-term admirers of Christian Eriksen. The Catalan giants have also been on red alert after the playmaker expressed his intentions to find new pastures.

Nou Camp could well be the destination for the 27-year-old. Barcelona are a big brand, immensely successful in winning silverware and offer huge sums of money to their players per week. All in all, there’s hardly a negative aspect Eriksen can point out at the club.

With Ivan Rakitic on the brink of an exit, Eriksen could replace the Croatian in the middle of the park. However, a big chunk of cash eill be required to bring him to Spain, and it remains to be seen if Barcelona agree to shell it out.#1 Real Madrid

To put it shortly, Real Madrid is the pinnacle of club football. As Luka Modric puts it, any player swapping Los Blancos would be going a step backwards as there is no club bigger than them.

Eriksen has been courted by Zinedine Zidane this summer. The Frenchman is keen on signing Paul Pogba from Manchester United but if the move doesn’t materialise, he will move for the 27-year-old Dane instead.

A Real Madrid move would mean Christian Eriksen would literally live his life king size with a bunch of silverware, handsome pay package and the prestige of playing for the biggest brand in football.

Only time will tell if Zidane decides to switch his attention and sign Eriksen instead.
