Talk to any Blues fan and they will tell you their defensive problems lie with the fact that without John Terry it has left a weakness up back, However, I assure you their problems are much deeper than that.

Well some fans, not all, to be fair

After finishing 10th in the Premier League last season new boss Antonio Conte has a lot of pressure to better that result, and the powers that be will rein a fury of hell if he does not deliver.

The main issue is hanging onto players that are simply holding the club back, as much as they may be big name player, I find these days its the big names player that are under performing *Cough Pogba Cough*.

This is Chelsea’s problem, personally I think if the Blues were to sell these players listed below, the club could move forward and rebuild, but I could be wrong, we could see a huge turn around and these players could surge the club to victories,  I doubt it though.

So who are the 5 Chelsea Football Club player that the Blues MUST sell? Lets take a look:

Five players Chelsea Football Club must sell!

5. Branislav Ivanovic

I think we have seen the best of Ivanovic, his ability to keep up has depleted, Wingers dominate him in every game, and if Chelsea want to keep the opporsition from controlling the game, they will need to find a replacement for the veteran defender.

4. Nemanja Matic

With Matic’s poor form this season and Antonio Conte throwing him a bone and playing him further forward, Matic just isn’t performing. and offers very little to the side.

It’s not going to be long before Conte declared him a liability and replaces him with a more versatile player.

3. Cesc Fabregas

This one has more problems than need really, not only is Fabregas finding it hard to get Conte to start him, but all the controversy in the media is rife with speculation, this isn’t a good image for the club and affect moral, sadly as much as the fans love Cesc, he has to go, the situation has gone on too long and tensions are too high to come back down from, move on Cesc, time is ticking.

2. Pedro

What is there to say really, total flop, he clearly isn’t up to the job in the Premier League, quite frankly keeping him would just be a joke to the Club, him and Football.

Total Flop!

1. Gary Cahill

I can’t even believe he has lasted this long at Chelsea, seriously, without John Terry there to carry his weight Cahill has been exposed, figuratively and literally, he gets caught out on the pitch too many times and surprisingly he still gets an England call up.

If it was two seasons ago I would be all high praising him, but like Ivanovic, his time has passed.
