Liverpool claimed a dramatic 2-2 draw at home to West Bromwich Albion today in the Premier League, thanks to Divock Origi’s injury-time equaliser.

The draw came at a cost though, with Dejan Lovren picking up an injury, having to go off with his leg in a brace after a nasty tackle from Craig Gardner.

With this in mind, here are five things learned from today’s game:

Dejan Lovren Concerns

The 26-year-old was taken off on a stretcher, and blood was pouring from his knee, after the rough tackle from Gardner.
There was no action taken by the referee towards Gardner for the tackle, to the anger of Jürgen Klopp. It is a blow for the Croatian, who had only recently come back into the side after Mamadou Sakho also having injury problems.
Ironically, Lovren was replaced by Divock Origi, who fired home the injury-time equaliser.

Time to Drop Simon Mignolet?

The Belgian has made a couple of high-profile errors in recent weeks.

Against Bordeaux in the Europa League a few weeks ago, he held onto the ball for what seemed like an age, which drew ire from Klopp after the game. And today, flapping at a corner which allowed West Brom to equalise will not have gone unnoticed either. It may be time for the board to look elsewhere.

Does Christian Benteke Fit?

Speaking of struggling Belgians, there are probably a few Reds fans wondering how Benteke fits into the system employed by Klopp.
He is one of those frustrating players who seems completely disinterested in one game , and able to produce a moment of real quality in the next.
He really needs to find a way to get some consistency, maybe even adapt his style to fit the manager’s system.

Jordan Henderson Is Back

The skipper made his first league start since August, and the sight of him leading in midfield is once again a welcome sight for Reds fans. He brings leadership, and a bit of quality they sometimes lack in the middle of the park.

Darren Fletcher Still Useful

Manchester United must regret letting him go, as he is still able to boss the midfield. The Scot is badly missed at Old Trafford, especially after their horror week. Him pulling the strings in the middle was a catalyst for them claiming a point.
