Arsenal beat Hull City 4-0 on Tuesday night

Arsenal overcame Hull City on Tuesday night in their FA Cup replay to book a place in the Quarter-Final against Watford.

The Gunners and the Tigers couldn’t be separated in the initial tie, with the Championship side holding Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates Stadium.

However, it was one-way traffic in the replay with Arsene Wenger’s men coasting past Steve Bruce’s side.

Here are Five Things we learnt from the FA Cup victory for the holders.

5) Fans Still Want Change

Despite winning 4-0 and booking their spot in the next round, some fans still want a change at Arsenal Football Club.

This banner was put on show at the full-time whistle, sparking A LOT of debate on social media within the Arsenal fan-base. The banner even got a reaction from Ian Wright, who was then involved in a Twitter row with one of the guys behind the banner.

It’s not the first time it’s been on show, with the same banner being shown at The Hawthorns last season when Arsenal had won 1-0.

It’s clear to see that results don’t matter anymore for this portion of fans, they want Arsene Wenger out no matter what.

4) Mohamed Elneny Settling In Nicely

Arsenal’s January signing is settling in at his new club very nicely.

He’s played three FA Cup games now, and also started the North London derby on Saturday, and he’s looked comfortable and impressive in every game.

A no-nonsense centre-mid, which is something Arsenal have been calling out for. He does show a bit more adventure than Francis Coquelin, but it looks like it could be a very fruitful partnership for the Gunners.

Very smart piece of business from Arsene Wenger.

3) Confidence Booster for Strike Duo

Boy did these guys need a goal.

Both Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott have been heavily criticised in recent weeks, with the duo going on goal droughts and also putting in below-par performances.

However, the striking duo were impressive at the KC Stadium and they both managed to bag a brace each.

Olivier Giroud showed calmness to slot home his two goals, while Walcott proved he can produce in front of goal.

The two just need to get some consistency going now.

2) Hull Must Hate Arsenal

The last three seasons Hull City have been eliminated from the FA Cup by Arsenal.

The first time was in the final two years ago, where Arsenal infamously ended their trophy drought by winning 3-2 at Wembley. The second then came a year later as they were defeated 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

Sadly for Hull and Steve Bruce, it wasn’t third times a charm as they were thumped 4-0 on Tuesday night.

The Tigers must be sick of seeing Arsene Wenger and co.

1) Three In A Row For Arsenal?

The victory over Hull City sees Arsenal go into the FA Cup Quarter Final where they will face Watford at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners will be feeling very good about their chances of once again retaining the FA Cup and winning it for a record-breaking third year in a row.

Reading, Crystal Palace, Everton, Chelsea, West Ham United and Manchester United are the other teams left in the cup, and if the draw is kind to them, Arsenal could be in yet another final this year.

So there are our Five Things learnt from Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Hull City.

What did you make of the game?
