Five Things Learned from Saturday’s Premier League games

Five key incidents from Saturday’s Premier League.

Alexis Sanchez back in form

Sanchez returned to his usual-self with a hat-trick at the King Power Stadium.

The Chilean was on a run of eight games without a goal but after Wenger predicted a return to form soon, he responded in the best of ways.

He scored in the 33rd, 57th and 81st minute to help the Gunners to victory.

West Ham can’t find form on their own patch

The Hammers rescued a point in the 93rd minute at home to newly promoted Norwich City.

Bilic’a side have been on top form away from home, already picking up wins at Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City this season.

But when it comes to home games, they have been beaten off Leicester and Bournemouth, whilst their only home win has come against Newcastle.

Slaven Bilic will be hoping to sort out the stuttering home form sooner rather than later.

Newcastle show some fight

Newcastle showed some much needed fight to earn themselves a t draw against Chelsea.

The midweek cup defeat to Sheffield Wednesday was still lingering as the side hoped to find their first win of the season.

McClaren’s side got themselves in to a 2-0 lead on the hour mark and it seemed as though the league win may be on its way, but Chelsea dragged themselves back with two goals in the last 11 minutes.

The side will take plenty of positives from this one and hope to build on today’s result.

Spurs run City ragged

Spurs crushed Man City 4-1 as Harry Kane ended his wait for a goal this season.

Joe Hart was rested for this one but his side initially took the lead through Kevin De Bruyne, although it all went downhill from there…

Eric Dier equalised on the stroke of half-time, then Alderweireld, Kane and Lamela all scored to help brush City aside.

Bournemouth dealt major blow

A miserable day for Cherries at the Britannia Stadium.

Eddie Howe’s side went down 2-1 to underperforming Stoke but got even worse when Callum Wilson picked up an injury.

The striker had to be stretchered off and needed oxygen after he twisted his knee.
