United have been alerted by the promising form of Roberts who was central to the Cottagers’ run to the FA Youth Cup final.
Fulham manager Felix Magath handed the 17-year-old his first taste of Premier League action against United’s Manchester rivals at the Etihad stadium in March.
Kingston-born Roberts was also part of England U-17’s European Championship winning squad.
Magath recently declared that he will use plenty of Fulham’s exciting young players as the club seek to bounce back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
