Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that new summer signing Gareth Bale will make his debut this weekend when his side face Villarreal in the league, however, the former-Tottenham winger will be deployed on the right-hand side.
It was 50/50 whether or not the £83million-man will start for Madrid this weekend, but the manager has confirmed that he will feature and has also confirmed that he will be playing right-wing, which is considered his opposite side after putting in sensational performances last season for Spurs down the left.
First thoughts were that Bale could feature at left-back, the position he started his career, but it has now been confirmed that he will be on the right-hand side for his long-awaited debut.
‘Everyone knows that he has not had a normal preseason but his condition is good and he willl play’. Ancelotti said.
‘I don’t know if he will start but he will definitely play a part. I have not decided if he will be in the eleven or on the bench.’
When asked about where Bale will feature, the former-Paris Saint-Germain manager responded with: ‘On the right.’
