Manchester United have confirmed that they have agreed a fee with Everton to bring Lukaku to Old Trafford this summer.
The Belgian was rumoured to be one of Chelsea’s top targets this summer, however, it seems that the Stamford Bridge outfit will now have to look elsewhere to bolster their striking options.
However, former Manchester United striker Neville feels that Conte should not be annoyed about Chelsea’s failure to land Lukaku because the Blues should have had multiple striker targets this summer.
Neville tweeted on Saturday morning: “Why would he [Conte] throw his toys out of the pram over a player choice? Maybe he shouldn’t have text Costa till the Lukaku deal was done.
“No coach or club should ever have their eggs in one basket. If Madrid, Barca, United, Bayern, City come in then you may always lose him!”
