Olivier Giroud is ready to hand Arsenal a massive boost by agreeing a new 2 year deal with the Gunners.

The Frenchman, who only returned to training for the Gunners yesterday, was in prolific form last season, scoring 23 goals in all competitions.

Giroud carried Arsenal’s main attacking threat last season, although his form dipped slightly after Christmas.

Reports are claiming that Giroud will be handed a 2 year contract to extend on his current deal, which expires in 2016. However, it is not known what sort of pay rise he will get.

The Gunners are in action at home at the weekend as they host the annual pre-season tournament, the ‘Emirates Cup’.
