Granit Xhaka has put Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool on red-alert after confirming he will leave Borussia Monchengladbach if ‘a big club’ makes a move for him.
The midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in the past few weeks, with Arsenal and Liverpool reportedly interested in signing him for £37million.
However, reports emerged yesterday that Chelsea had also entered the race to sign the 23-year-old and were also prepared to offer just shy of £40m.
Xhaka has been speaking about his future, and although Monchengladbach are desperate to keep hold of him, he’s confirmed that he could think about a move if the right offer comes in.
“Gladbach are a top club,” he said.
“But if I were someday to go to a top, top, top club, I want to play there.
“I’m not the type to be on the bench.”
