According to The Independent , The Gunners have shown interest in the bringing the Portuguese midfielder from Barcelona.
The new boss of Gunners Unai Emery has insisted in bringing down Andre Gomes.
Gomes has not been in his top form at Camp Nou after joining the Spanish giants in July, 2016. in 78 matches he played for the club, he was on the scoring sheet for only 4 times.
The price has not yet been revealed at which Barca will agree to sell the midfielder but according to reports, the Spanish giants will demand around £30 million for the midfielder after looking at the willingness that the Gunner boss is showing in the midfielder.
Arsenal has already confirmed the signing of Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos on a long-term deal. The club has also signed a new long term contract with Calum Chambers. Signing Gomes will come as a 4th new addition to the side.
The Gunners are hoping of having a better season from last year, and the new boss is trying to make no stone unturned in taking the club to new high.
