Guus Hiddink hints at Chelsea stay
Dutchman could remain manager past this season
Chelsea interim-manager Guus Hiddink has admitted he may remain at Stamford Bridge past this season.
The Dutchman is currently interim-boss at the club after replacing Jose Mourinho in December, and was expected to leave the club at the end of the season in order to be replaced by a permanent option.
Several names have been linked with taking the Stamford Bridge hot-seat, but according to Hiddink himself, he could remain at the club past the summer.
Hiddink To Stay?
He said: “I love this club but we have been very clear. It’ll be a spell until the end of the league.
“You can have a bond with whatever has to be done in a club.
“It’s not that I quit with the club in the sense of ‘goodbye’ and I won’t see you anymore. We will see what can be done.
“I don’t see that we have to stop the contact rigidly after the last game.”
Hiddink has turned the fortunes around for Chelsea since taking over, guiding them to a 10-game unbeaten streak, including a 1-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
