Two months after talk that the Belgian was prepared to sign a long term deal at the Bridge, there has still been no announcement made, leading to speculation that talks may well have stalled.
Mourinho has been quick to play down the rumours and and has stated that the club is under no rush or pressure to finalise a deal, and that all details of the wingers new contract would be revealed upon finalisation.
When questioned, Mourinho said: “Why should it be made official? What’s the problem?”
“He has a contract with Chelsea for two or three more years but why should we be in a hurry for that?”
“Are you worried? I am not worried, I am not worried.”
