The Gunners bought Mathieu Debuchy after the Juanfran deal fell through
Atletico Madrid right back Juanfran has revealed in an interview that he twice turned down a move to join Arsenal.
The Spanish international was targeted by the Gunners as a replacement for Bacary Sagna, who moved to Manchester City last summer on a free.
Juanfran says he is still very happy in the Spanish capital, and has no intentions of moving to England.
“I know where I am. Atletico have pushed for me to stay,” said the 30 year old, speaking to Radio Marca.
“I rejected two offers from Arsenal. It’s what I feel.”
