Shakhtar Donetsk forward Douglas Costa has revealed Jose Mourinho is the biggest factor in him wanting to join Chelsea.
Chelsea have offered Shakhtar £19 million for the Brazilian, after having an initial £16 million bid reportedly rejected.
Andre Schurrle and Mohammad Salah’s imminent departures from Stamford Bridge leaves the way clear for Costa and Juan Cuadrado to be bought in as like for like replacements.
The 24 year old Costa is certainly extremely keen on signing for the Blues.
“To play at Chelsea is a dream for any player,” he said. “It is standing next to some of the best players in the world and competing with the world’s best as well.
“But really, what catches my eye is the coach. He is a very intelligent coach and has been victorious wherever he went.
“One of the things that would make me happier to act at Chelsea would be this.”
Costa added that he was confident his progress would be “even greater” under Mourinho.
