Ian Wright believes his former club Arsenal should offer Liverpool whatever fee they want in order to sign Raheem Sterling.

In a recent interview, Sterling admitted he had turned down a £100,000-a-week contract to extend his current Anfield deal.

The winger also expressed that he was flattered by interest from Arsenal and Wright believes the England international is right to review his options.

When speaking to Goal, he said: “You can’t say no to a talent like Raheem Sterling. He’s at a fantastic football club, no doubt, but when you consider that he’s been playing in all sorts of positions, at right wing-back.”

He also added: “He’s getting all sorts of bad publicity because his contract talks are taking longer than I’m sure Liverpool would like. I think he’s making the right decision, simply because he’s 20 and has the world at his feet.”

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admitted he was unaware that the 20-year old Sterling had completed the interview.
