Several clubs on red alert as exit in summer confirmed

Jackson Martinez has been continuously linked with a move to the Premier League, with a whole host of clubs supposedly looking at the Colombian.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are three of the main teams that have been linked with a move and the striker who has scored an impressive 25 goals in 29 games this season, has a buy-out clause of £27.5m.

All three teams are reported to be prepared to meet the price, but will have to convince Martinez to choose them over more admirers in the Serie A, including Roma, Napoli and Juventus.

“In the summer I’ll leave Porto for a new team” Martinez has revealed.

“Players develop well in Portugal, and I thank the club for making me the player I am today.”

“However, it’s time for a new adventure, to grow from a professional point of view.”

“Italy or England? Possibly, but I’m waiting for the summer. My agent deals with these things, and at the moment I don’t know what my future will be.”

“For the moment I’m just thinking about finishing the year well with Porto.”

“There are several teams interested, and I can’t say definitively where I’ll play.”
