Liverpool full-back Jon Flanagan is likely to sign a new three-year deal at Anfield, according to reports.
The 23-year-old becomes a free agent in the summer with his current contract expiring in June, but according to reports today, he is close to agreeing terms on a new three-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2019.
The boyhood Liverpool fan has been slowly recovering from a serious long-term injury, which kept him out of action for well over a year, but since his return in January, he’s impressed new manager Jurgen Klopp.
Earlier this month, Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson advised the club to get Flanagan signed on a new deal, and it looks like the club officials have listened.
