Manchester United have received backing from an unusual suspect, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.

The Blues boss believes that despite being 12-points behind league leaders Arsenal, David Moyes’ men cannot be written off just yet.

Moyes and co., fell to another home defeat last night after his former-team Everton picked up a 1-0 victory with an 86th minute winner, but Mourinho believes you’d be stupid if you write off the former-champions.

“It’s difficult but with Manchester United everything is possible,” said Mourinho, whose side remains second.

As for Moyes, he knows that his side will have to be on top-form from now until May if they want to win back the title.

He said: “We have a long way to go.”

“We will need to play some great football and win an awful lot of games in the run-in if we going to be in there and around it come the end of the season.”
