Jose Mourinho has been given a deadline of June 30th to complete a deal for Lyon defender Samuel Umtiti.
Umtiti has been consistently watched by Chelsea scouts, with the club searching for a man to replace Filipe Luis, who looks set to leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
French media are claiming that a deal for the Cameroon youngster could be finalised by June 30th, with Lyon eager to balance their books before the end of the month.
The report claims a £10.7m offer could be enough to land the talented 21-year-old.
Umtiti, who can play at either centrally or left-back, has made 116 appearances for Lyon since his 2011 debut for the club and has been capped at Under-21 level by France, and with Chelsea’s reputation for developing youngsters, Umtiti may develop into a real quality player.
