Chelsea are a step closer to signing Juan Cuadrado, after the Colombian said he wants to quit Fiorentina, say Sky Sports.

The Blues are in advanced negotiations with Cuadrado, as fringe wingers Andre Schurrle and Mohammad Salah look set to depart Stamford Bridge.

Fiorentina are not willing to sell the 26 year old for anything less than his £26.8 million release clause, but Chelsea remain hopeful of signing him cheaper.

According to Express Sport, Fiorentina boss Vincenzo Montella could resign if Cuadrado was to be sold.

Chelsea are also targeting Shakhtar forward Douglas Costa, in case the Cuadrado deal falls through.
