Eight expected to leave Anfield this summer

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is planning a mass overhaul at the club this summer, with no less than eight first-team players expected to depart.

Klopp is expected to be busy in his first summer transfer window, but according to reports, he could be looking to offload around eight players before bringing in some of his own faces.

It’s claimed that Simon Mignolet, Christian Benteke, Adam Bogdan, Joe Allen and Alberto Moreno will all be sold, whilst Kolo Toure, Joao Teixeira and Jose Enrique will be released once their contracts expire in June.

With eight leaving, it’s likely that Klopp will bring in several new faces of his own, and according to the same reports, he’s already looking at a certain trio.

Likely Faces Coming In

Klopp is believed to be interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze, along with Poland international Piotr Zielinski, who is also a midfielder.

The Reds boss is also monitoring Leicester City youngster Ben Chilwell. The defender has been a transfer target of Arsenal, but Klopp is eager to get a deal done for the Foxes starlet.

With three targeted, they will also be joined by Joel Matip, who will arrive on a free transfer from Schalke in the summer, and they may also be joined by Marko Grujic, who was signed and then loaned back out in January.
