Liverpool Football Club have officially named Jurgen Klopp as their new manager – and it’s been revealed that he will be earning around £7m-a-year.
The German boss has put pen to paper on a three-year deal at Anfield, worth around £7m-a-year, meaning he’s now on double what he was earning at Borussia Dortmund.
According to reports, Klopp was on a contract worth around £3.5m-a-year in the Bundesliga, but after being officially named as the new Liverpool boss late last night, he’s received a significant pay-rise.
Liverpool broke the news on their official Facebook page last night, with a formal press conference scheduled for 10:00 this morning.
Klopp has taken over from Brendan Rodgers who was sacked after three years in the job.
