Combined XI ahead of final on Saturday

Champions League final combined XI? Juventus vs Real Madrid combined XI? Ahead of the huge Champions League final in Cardiff on Saturday, we have created a combined XI for Juventus vs Real Madrid.

Both teams have been in finals over the last few years. Real Madrid have won it twice in the last 3 years, and are looking to become the first team to successfully defend the Champions League since it was re-branded in 1990.

You can read our match preview for the game here. It contains our predictions, odds for betting, and links to live streams to watch the match.

Meanwhile however, we have created a Real Madrid vs Juventus combined XI here for you to read about. The team is based on the best players from both Real Madrid and Juventus from this season. We have placed the team into a 4-3-3 formation as we think this is the best formation for this team.

So here is our Real Madrid vs Juventus combined XI that we have chosen ahead of the 2017 Champions League Final in Cardiff on Saturday.

GK: Gianluigi Buffon

Buffon is an Italian legend who has actually never won the Champions League. It’s impossible to imagine that he could finish his career without ever having won a Champions League medal. Could Saturday be the big day for Buffon, where he finally wins the missing medal in his trophy cabinet?

RB: Carvajal

It was tough to call this one between Carvajal and Dani Alves, but the Spaniard just about takes the cake. I think he’s much more solid and an all-round better player now Alves is starting to get past his best. I could well be proven wrong on Saturday though.

CB: Sergio Ramos

Ramos is one of the greatest ever Spanish defenders. He’s been legendary for Madrid over the years, and is the man for the big occasion, scoring in the 2014 and 2016 finals. Could he bag another important goal on Saturday for Los Blancos?

CB: Leonardo Bonucci

He’s been the integral part of the Juventus defence that has done so well in the Champions League this season. He’s been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester City, but on Saturday he plays in one of the biggest games of his career, will he captain Juventus to their first Champions League since 1996?

LB: Marcelo

Marcelo is such a quality player both at the back and going forward. He has shown his attacking qualities in the Champions League this season, and is a big threat for Juventus to stop on Saturday. He scored in the 2014 final vs Atletico Madrid, will he bag one in Cardiff 2017?

CDM: Toni Kroos

Another Real player who has been outstanding for them this season. On his day, he can completely run the midfield in a football match and Juventus really need to control him in the game on Saturday. They will need players like Sami Khedira and Miralim Pjanic to tightly mark him and allow him very little time on the ball.

CDM: Luka Modric

Another Madrid player. But this guy is just world-class. It’s hard to believe that he was branded one of Madrid’s worst signings in his early days. He’s already won this competition twice, and on Saturday, it could be another one for Luka. Like Kroos, he can be so dominant in midfield, and is a worthy entrant to this combined XI.

CAM: Paulo Dybala

The young prodigy with so much to offer, both right now and in the future. Dybala has really burst onto the scene this season. He has been outstanding, and could be a real key man for Juve on Saturday night. How will Madrid handle him?

RW: Cristiano Ronaldo

Ballon D’or 2016 winner. Champions League 2016 winner. Euro 2016 winner. Need I say more?

ST: Gonzalo Higuain

Higuain became the highest paid player in Italy last summer when Juventus paid Napoli the best part of £80million for him. He has managed to pay that price tag back and then some this season. He has scored 32 goals in all competitions this season, he has been on fire and is a real dangerman on Saturday.

LW: Isco

Could’ve been Gareth Bale here, could’ve been Mario Mandzukic. But no, I’ve chosen Isco because he really has been another top notch player for Madrid this season. I think he’ll start on Saturday ahead of Bale and I think he’s a better winger than Mandzukic, therefore, Isco is the choice.
