General director confirms club want to strike permanent deal

Juventus have confirmed they want to sign Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado on a permanent deal after he’s impressed for them during a season-long loan.

The Colombian is halfway through his loan deal, but the club’s general director Giuseppe Marotta has already admitted they want to try and make the deal a permanent one.

Cuadrado joined Chelsea from Serie A side Fiorentina, but after failing to get regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge, he departed the club soon after.

The 27-year-old has re-found his old form back in Italy, and Marotta has already confirmed they want to try and do a permanent deal with the Premier League side.

“He is on loan but for the squad and his tactical flexibility we really need him,” Marotta told Rai Sport.
